Makis Moulos (GR/ES)
Makis Moulos is poet and spoken word artist whose work explores themes of identity, mental health, silence, loneliness, and the LGBTQI+ experience. Deeply rooted in personal experience, his writing is shaped by emotion, music, and the quiet moments that often go unnoticed. His style is raw, lyrical, and experimental, often intimate, sometimes nostalgic, always honest. As an introvert, poetry has become his most authentic form of expression. It is how he communicates, how he processes the world, and how he stays connected to hisself and others.
Through both written and spoken word, Makis aims to create space for reflection, healing, and connection.His work aims to encourage others to feel, to think, to laugh or cry, and most importantly, to know they are not alone.

He is one half of "Hypnotik Transphormation", a duet performance show, premiered for the first time at the BCN studio in Barcelona in February 2026.

Yzaura (US)
Yzaura is a Barcelona-based spoken word artist and immersive storyteller whose work weaves poetry, music and live looping into her performances that feel as much like ritual as they do theatre. Drawing from ancestry, memory, and transformation, she moves between intimate confession and layered soundscape.
She is one half of "Hypnotik Transphormation", a duet performance staged at the BCN Studio, known for its hypnotic fusion of layered vocals, sound, and evocative visual composition. As a solo artist, her latest work Echoes of Self premieres at the 2026 Edinburgh Festival Fringe, bringing her sound-driven storytelling to an international stage for the first time.

A multiple-time poetry slam winner in Barcelona, Yzaura makes work that doesn't just ask to be heard, it asks to be felt. Language, sound, and presence arrive together, and audiences tend to leave carrying something they didn't expect to find.

HYPNOTIK TRANSPHORMATION
Makis & Yzaura, is an artistic duet based in Barcelona. Together, they’ve created a Spoken Word performance infused with live experimental sounds and music.
Hypnotik Transphormation unfolds as a poetic journey, guided by truth and honesty, exploring the struggle against loneliness and the pressure of a world that constantly demands more.
Through this work, they confront the past, seek escape, and strive to build a safe space for our emotions by creating exit paths and connecting with others, we aim to transform vulnerability into strength and isolation into shared experience.
Performance
The show flows between poetry, music, and visuals, weaving together solo and duet performances. Each segment is connected, either through spoken word or a musical undercurrent, creating a continuous emotional and artistic dialogue between us. Each of them presents five original poems poems/texts of varying lengths, accompanied by live, improvised music. Using synthesizers, loop stations, voice layering, and unconventional instruments, they build a sonic landscape that evolves with the spoken word. There are no pauses or empty spaces between pieces, they fill the voids with experimental sounds and vocal textures, crafting a seamless and immersive experience that blurs the line between poetry and sound art.
Throughout the show, they integrate audiovisual elements, live music, and immersive soundscapes to create a multi-sensory experience that deepens the emotional impact of the performance.
